Having defeated the orc-lord and gained the trust of the dwarf kingdom, Rimuru is going to have to deal with a lot of prying eyes, but that’s the least of his worries.
What’s happened since last time?
Three interested parties send representatives to inspect the new nation. One group representing a demon-lord causes a scene until Milim steps in and saves the day, much to Rimuru’s annoyance. He threatens to withhold lunch is she can’t behave.
Then two more groups arrive, this time from human settlements. Rimuru invites them to stay, hoping that they’ll see that they are not a threat and open up trade negotiations. One of the representatives from the demon-lord is tricked by a group of clowns into becoming the host for an ancient calamity level monster.

Have your feelings changed?
Annoyingly, yes, but just a little. Up to this point, I was loving everything about this series. Sadly, things kind of got a little slow here. It was still very enjoyable and I love the world-building, but it doesn’t make for thrilling action. Even the introduction of Charybdis was a bit of a letdown.
That was even more annoying because they made a thing about one of the other demon-lords getting in a panic about the revival of Charybdis only for Milim to defeat it in a single attack. I just felt it didn’t warrant the build up.
Who was your favourite character so far?
I’m still enjoying Rimuru and all the other characters, but from this session Shion stole the show, riding on the back of Ranga and wielding her massive sword. She’s always been a cool character, but this was the moment that I sat up and really took note.
Who do you want to see more of?
Obviously, I would say Shion, however, Rimuru has just gone off on his own to take care of some unfinished business for Shizu. I’m a little worried about this as we appear to be entering a school sort of situation which is the furthest thing from a slime conquering monsters and demon-lords.
Are you going to continue watching?
There are four episodes left and it’s just been announced that there will be a second season. I’m actually pretty happy about that because this series has a lot of potential and while the action has been a little off as of late, there’s still a lot that it’s doing right.
