Sunday Sevens: Seven Colours in her Hair

This post was not inspired by the McFly song – The Girl with Five Colours in her Hair. Not at all. Here we are talking about seven colours. See, completely different!

What is this about? Let me just say, I’m not a massive McFly fan. They do have some good songs and have done some good covers of Queen, but that’s where it ends. This post thankfully has nothing to do with McFly. What I have done, however, is attempt to select my seven favourite female characters with different coloured hair.

Why would I do that? Well, why not! To make this list a little more interesting, I am only going to pick one character from a series, otherwise there could be a very heavy Highschool of the Dead slant to this.

There are more than seven possible hair colours, so I have narrowed it down to this. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink. It’s kind of like the rainbow and who doesn’t love rainbows. All right, let’s get on with it.

Red: Rias Gremory (High School DxD)

This one picks itself. Rias was easily the first name on the list even before I decided on the colours. She is a devil princess and president of the Occult Research Club, but don’t let that fool you. She also has a softer side and would do anything to protect her friends, which are like a family to her.

Orange: Nami (One Piece)

There was a little bit more decision making going into this one. Asuna or Rei Miyamoto could have taken this spot, but as I’ve hung out with Nami for four hundred episodes so far it seemed like the best option. Nami is another that cares deeply for her friends and family, even joining the pirates that killed her mother to save her village, until Luffy came along and freed her.

Yellow: Shera (How Not to Summon a Demon Lord)

Another princess, but this time an elf. Shera was so determined to break free from the enforced life awaiting her, that she attempted to summon a demon lord. She’s another who cares for her friends and would do whatever she can to protect them.

Green: High Elf Archer (Goblin Slayer!)

The High Elf Archer wants to kill the goblins almost as much as the Goblin Slayer. She’s driven to protect her people from the monstrous creatures and their devious ways. Highly skilled with a bow and arrow would be an understatement. She can make those arrows do whatever she wants.

Blue: Esdeath (Akame ga Kill)

The ice queen, General Esdeath knows what she wants, how she’s going to get it, and will stamp on whoever she needs to. She is incredibly determined, but kind and rewarding to those that are loyal to her. Seriously, you do not want to be on the wrong side of her.

Purple: Saeko (Highschool of the Dead)

If I was only going to pick one from Highschool of the Dead, it was always going to be Saeko. She’s cool and calm under pressure, but deadly when necessary. Saeko can be a little detached at first, however, once she warms to you, you can count on her.

Pink: La Hire (Ulysses: Jeanne d’Arc and the Alchemist Knight)

I haven’t finished watching this series yet, but so far it’s terrible. La Hire, however, is one of the few shining lights from the dark wreck that is the story line. She’s the captain of a feared mercenary group. La Hire is fearless, but knows when to walk away from a fight and will do so to protect her men.

Anything to add? That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Also, I love how varied the hair colours are in anime. I think it’s one of those cool elements that works even though it makes no sense. Well, I have a week to come up with seven male characters with different hair colours, so wish me luck. As always, thanks for reading.

Other Post in the Sunday Sevens Series.

  1. La Hire is absolutely best girl in that ridiculous show.

    • Absolutely. Richemont was cool too, but La Hire was awesome. I have the final four episodes to enjoy(?!?) on Monday…

    • Oof~ the final four episodes will blow your mind (in the worst possible way) good luck, brave soldier!

    • Haha! I can’t wait……………
