Sunday Sevens: Name that Anime!

I’ve found seven awesome looking anime gifs, but have no idea what they are from. Please can you help me?

What is this about? I enjoy a good gif as much as the next person, maybe a little more. Well, this week I have collected together seven gifs that particularly spoke to me and that I have no idea what anime it’s from. Basically, I need your help to identify these anime.

If I can, I would like to watch them all, so that I can understand the context of the gif and they also look kind of cool. Plus it’s a chance for you to show off your anime knowledge and who doesn’t want to look cool in front of everyone else?

All right, let’s get on with it.

Sunday Sevens: My Adventurer Party

I’m going on an adventure. There’s going to be dragons and monsters, and goblins and orcs… Guess, I better put a party together then!

What is this about? A little while back I put together a pirate crew made up of anime characters and then turned it into a tag. Watching more and more bloggers post their own pirate crew has been incredible. I never imagined there would be so much uptake from. So, thanks to everyone that has taken part or is thinking of taking part.

So, back to what’s going on here. Well, I was recently tagged by Matthew at Matt-in-the-Hat when they put together their second pirate crew. Getting tagged in a tag post that you created is pretty cool, but rather than put together another pirate crew, I’m switching it up a little bit by putting together an Adventurer’s Party.

As this is a Sunday Seven post, I’ll be selecting seven anime characters to join me on a quest using the standard Dungeons and Dragons character classes. They are Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard. If you’re interested in what makes up each class, I’ve included the Wiki link above.

It’s time to recruit some adventurers!

Sunday Sevens: One Piece Fights

There have been a lot of amazing fights in One Piece so far. I’ve just finished season twelve, four-hundred and twenty-one episodes, and these are my favourite fights.

What is this about? Like I said, I’ve watched a lot of episodes of One Piece and now seems like a good time to look back at some of my favourite fights. This isn’t to be confused with my favourite moments, I’ll do that in another post.

As with most shounen anime, there is a lot of fighting and having watched over four-hundred episodes that really means a lot. I’ve taken a quick glance through my reviews and put together my seven favourite fights.

There’s no order here, they’re all great fights. All right, let’s get it on!

Sunday Sevens: Waifu

I’m sure everyone remembers their first animated crush, but what about your first seven? Or better yet, the top seven?

What is this about? It was Valentine’s day this week, which means everyone is getting all mushy and lovey, so I’m going to bring it all crashing back down to Earth with my top seven anime crushes.

Before I continue, I should probably explain what a waifu is (I’m sure there are some out there that don’t know). Well, here is the dictionary definition. Yeah, it’s in the dictionary.

waifu. Noun. (fandom slang) A fictional character from non-live-action visual media (typically an anime, manga, or video game) that one is attracted to and considers a significant other.

Well, there you have it. Also, to be different, this week they are ranked from seven to one. Exciting!

Sunday Sevens: Favourite Anime OP

Do you skip the OP or turn it up to eleven? I pick and choose, but I never skip these because they are my favourite anime OPs.

What is this about? So, I’ve still not quite filled up the Seven Colours in his Hair list. I know it should be easy, but I want to make sure I pick the right guys. Anyhow, it gave me a chance to put together another list. When I’m not watching anime, I often find myself listening to my favourite OPs. I have a playlist with a load of them.

Occasionally, I’ve even found myself humming the tunes while singing in Japanese in my head… and I don’t even speak Japanese, although it has been a lifelong goal of mine, but that’s for another day. So, it’s time to turn the volume up and get ready for this spectacular selection of anime OPs.

This is my top seven, but I’ve put them in alphabetical order as they’re all awesome in their own way.
