What did you watch?

All right, we’re already two weeks into the new season of anime and so far so good. This was the third of the three shows that I decided to watch this time around. If you’re interested, I’m also reviewing Fruits Basket and Demon Slayer: Kimetso no Yaiba. Well, that should be enough to keep any spoilers from reaching those that don’t want them, so let’s get on with this review.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Episode 2) – Trainer Sakonji Urokodaki

Tanjiro and Nezuko follow the directions given to them by the demon slayer, Giyu. On their way, they come across a shrine and the ominous scent of blood!

What did you watch?

Can’t believe I almost put this series off until they were all out. I’ve only seen two episodes of Fruits Basket and one of Fairy Gone, but I’m pretty confident that I can say this will be my favourite of the three. So, before I get to exactly why, you should know that there will be spoilers beyond this point, so this is your chance to watch it quickly and then come back. Otherwise, read on…

Fruits Basket 2019 Banner

With the cat out of the bag… so to speak, Tohru Honda now knows what she’s got herself into, well, almost. Now, she will have to wait to see if the head of the Soma family will allow it.

What did you watch?

It’s already the second week of the Spring 2019 schedule and I’ve managed to keep myself from jumping into all the other shows that catch my eye. Admittedly, I do have several shows from the Winter schedule that haven’t finished yet, so I’ll have those to review soon as well. But then you’re not here for that, we’re talking about Fruits Basket episode two, so let’s dive in.

Sankarea: Undying Love (Episode 1) – A Yomu and Lynn Collab

When a zombie otaku’s cat is hit by a car and dies, the only natural thing would be to try and resurrect it as a zombie cat. Right? Nothing could possibly go wrong!

What did you watch and why?

Well, you’re in for a real treat today and the foreseeable future. I have teamed up with Yomu from the Umai Yomu Anime Blog to review the zomromcom (zombie romance comedy) series -Sankarea. You’re welcome. If like me you are scratching your head at the title, then worry not. We’ve got you covered. So, let’s get down to business. As this is my site, my comments will appear in plain text and Yomu’s will be bold. Over to you, Yomu.

Fairy Gone (Episode 1) – Ash-Covered Girl

After a long war, the Fairy Soldiers find themselves in a society that no longer needs nor wants them. Those that can use the power of the fairies are hunted as criminals.

What did you watch?

When I looked at the spring 2019 schedule, this was the first title that jumped out at me. It looked dark and gritty. I was then convinced to watch Fruits Basket and then found myself watching Demon Slayer: Kimetso no Yaiba. So, that’s it. These are the only shows that I will be watching and reviewing as they air. This should give me more time to binge older shows and write some of my own fiction.
